Good Posture

Good health is good business. It's as simple as that.

Recent surveys have identified wellbeing as an important area for action by companies both large and small. Stress and mental health illnesses are increasing areas of concern – especially in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

Even before the pandemic, absenteeism put huge financial strain on businesses. In Ireland alone, up to 11 million days are lost every year, with sick days costing companies more than €1.5 billion.

But, it isn't just businesses that pay the price. By taking time off work to stay home sick, or to visit their doctor, employees risk falling behind at work and losing pay.

The COVID-19 health crisis has resulted in more and more employees being asked to work from home. As the pandemic hit, approximately 40 per cent of paid hours worked by Irish employees were performed from home.

During the course of the lockdown, with so many people working from home, and/or unable to play their usual sports, it's become clear that there's a massive appetite for online exercise classes that people can access 24/7. That demand has increased as winter draws in, and the short days and bad weather make even getting out for walks and runs more difficult.

ONLINE CLASSES

PhysioNow has launched a corporate membership site, where staff - whether working from home, in the office, or on the road - can access private, professional, high-quality exercise classes, without the risk of joining a gym, and at a fraction of the cost.

Our KPI is that these classes are all taught by our chartered physiotherapists, who work with a wide range of prestigious companies, including Irish Life, ESB, SureSkills and Cooney Carey, and a long list of celebrity clients, from Olympic athletes to Oscar winners.

The exercises can be done at any time with little or no equipment, and no need to change into gym gear. All you need is a mat, some space, and a bit of time to yourself.

PhysioNow would like to offer your company the opportunity to try these classes for yourself. Below please find a link to our 'starter series' – five short videos which introduce the principles of physiopilates, and get you started…
